I started this build while I was finishing up the last '32 Ford. The kit gives a choice of either a flat heat or a 5.0 mustang motor. I'm going to use the 5.0 mustang motor so I can save the flat head for my next build. I had an extra turbo charger from a 5-window coupe kit that I wanted to use on this sedan. I'm keeping this as a stock box build so no wires yet. I'm going to try to add plug wires to that flat head. I've never done one yet so I'll be looking help on that.
My next step was to primer coat & sand all the parts. I'm going to give this a candy color so I want to spray all the parts at the same time to insure I get an even color on all the parts. That includes all the small parts such the dash, hood, fenders, and so on. This is how I'm planing on laying down the colors; 1) the top of the body flat tan, then mask off. 2) Spray all parts that will be the body color with a silver base coat. 3) paint all silver parts with candy apple red.
The first color I painted was the flat tan for the top of the body. Since I had the color out I painted the interior as well.
This is where I'm at so far. Next I'll clean up a bit of over spray on the top & start masking it off. I have most of the parts ready for silver. Once I have them all ready, I'll start spraying.
Thanks for looking.
